Microneedling Post Care Instructions
After your microneedling procedure, please follow these instructions for 7 days. It is essential for optimal results and healing!
Avoid washing your face for 24 hours - after 24 hours, use a gentle cleanser such as Cetaphil Unscented Daily Facial Cleanser and your fingers to gently wash your face. Rinse with cold or room temperature water, and pat dry using a clean towel.
If you use a hyaluronic acid serum, you may continue to use this as your first step after cleansing. AS LONG AS IT IS PURE HYALURONIC ACID! (If it burns your skin - do not continue to use again until you are are healed)
Apply TNS Recovery Complex (sold at DermaCure)
Then apply Epidermal Repair Cream, TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream, Epidermal Repair Cream or a gentle post-procedure safe moisturizer (all sold at DermaCure)
Next, apply the Defenage 8-in-1 Bio-Serum (sold at DermaCure)
Finally (and MOST importantly) your mineral SPF!!! Stay away from chemical SPF’s as they could burn during recovery. We carry Elta MD and SkinMedica SPF’s that are both post-procedure safe. Avoid sun exposure and reapply SPF every 2 hours with clean hands!
Repeat these steps AM and PM for 7 days.
Do not use any retinols or acids for 14 days. If any skincare products you are using burn, please do not continue using them until you reach day 14.
Avoid makeup for at least 24 - 48 hours. If you need to wear makeup, make sure you use new applicators or clean brushes to apply it.
You will appear a bit sunburnt and dry for a few days, leaving your skin feeling grainy and textured. This will all fall off as your skin heals and new skin is revealed. We recommend doing a series of 3 treatments spaced out 4-6 weeks apart. After you do your 3 sessions back to back, you may want to do maintenance sessions once or twice a year.

Do you take insurance?We do not perform any treatments, that would be deemed “medically necessary” by insurance companies. For that reason we do not have contracts with insurance companies, nor do we have the ICD-9 codes required for insurance billing. All procedures at DermaCure are considered elective.

I have some moles that I would like to have checked. Does Dr. Ingber check them?Dr. Ingber is a facial plastic Surgeon, not a Dermatologist. We do not have the equipment needed to take samples and biopsy questionable moles. We do not perform skin cancer screenings or mole removals. We can provide you with the recommendation of a local Dermatologist if needed.
